2021 Session of the Mississippi Annual Conference
2021 Session of the Mississippi Annual Conference

Below is general information about the session of the annual conference which was previously shared.
Each year, an equal number of clergy and lay members attend the conference's annual conference session for worship, fellowship and to conduct the business of the conference. During these sessions, members of the conference hear reports of past and ongoing work, adopt future goals, programs and budgets, ordain clergy members as deacons and elders and elect delegates to jurisdictional conferences and General Conference (every four years). The bishop presides over these meetings.
As you know, out of a desire to limit clergy and lay members’ exposure to the novel coronavirus, the 2020 Session of the Mississippi Annual Conference was cancelled, and the 2020 Ad Interim Meeting was held. Video, documents and reports related to the 2020 Ad Interim Meeting are now available on the conference website.
Additionally, you can watch the 2020 Laity Executive Session that was held Sunday, July 26 and download the Board of Laity Response to George Floyd Letter.
Reminder of Other Important Conference Dates:
- The postponed 2020 General Conference will take place August 29 – September 7, 2021 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- The postponed 2020 Southeastern Jurisdictional Conference will be held November 10-12, 2021 at Lake Junaluska, North Carolina.
